Join International Thanatopraxy Program in Mexico City

Following the success of international training programs developed in Europe, the advanced specialization program in thanatopraxy takes a further step in its global expansion with a new edition in Mexico City, to be held from October 20 to 23 at the facilities of J. García López.

This initiative, promoted in collaboration with FIAT-IFTA and Sortem, aims to continue creating spaces for practical learning, professional exchange, and technical growth among funeral sector specialists at an international level.

A practical approach based on real cases

The program is designed to provide an intensive training experience, where practice is the central focus. Over 32 in-person hours distributed across 4 days, participants will work directly on real cases, addressing different post-mortem situations and refining their technical skills.
This approach allows participants to deepen their knowledge in key areas such as:

  • Arterial injection and drainage techniques
  • Fluid distribution control
  • Cavitary aspiration and conditioning
  • Handling of professional instruments
  • Basic reconstruction and complex case management
  • Aesthetic preparation and final presentation

In addition, real-life scenarios will be addressed, including traumatic cases, autopsies, and different stages of decomposition, offering a comprehensive and applied perspective on advanced thanatopraxy.

Technical excellence with an ethical perspective

Beyond technical training, the program places special emphasis on the development of professional judgment, ethics, and respect in the preparation of the deceased. The goal is to strengthen not only operational competencies but also the sensitivity required to carry out a profession that combines technical precision with deep human value.

A high-level professional environment

The training will take place in a privileged setting: the facilities of J. García López, one of Mexico’s leading funeral companies, which offers high-capacity funeral facilities, advanced technical equipment, fully integrated funeral services and practical experience based on real daily operations. This context allows participants to engage in a fully immersive training experience aligned with the operational reality of the sector.

An international experience

The program maintains its international vocation, bringing together professionals from different countries and cultures. This exchange enriches learning, fosters new perspectives, and contributes to the global evolution of the profession. The training is designed for small groups (around 10 participants), ensuring close guidance and a personalized experience.

A commitment to continuous training

With this edition in Mexico, the program consolidates its international growth and reinforces its commitment to the continuous training of funeral professionals. A unique opportunity to raise quality standards, share knowledge, and move toward an increasingly professional, technical, and human practice.
