Discover Brazil’s Funeral Industry at Funeral Fair Brazil 2026
11th May 2026

The 10th edition of Funeral Fair Brazil will take place from May 20–22, 2026, in Recife, Pernambuco (Brazil), bringing together funeral professionals, suppliers, service providers, and industry leaders from across Brazil and abroad for three days of innovation, networking, education, and cultural exchange.
Recognized as one of the leading gatherings for the funeral sector in Latin America, the event continues to strengthen its role as a strategic platform for collaboration and professional development. In 2026, the fair will be hosted for the first time in Recife, a city internationally known for its rich cultural heritage and traditional Frevo music, reinforcing the event’s commitment to the pillars of “Culture & Knowledge.”
This year’s program will place particular focus on the rapidly growing pet funeral and cremation sector. A series of lectures and discussions will address key challenges facing businesses working in animal bereavement services. Topics will include:
- How to structure and manage a pet funeral business
- Comprehensive biosafety practices in pet funeral services
- The impact of proposed legislation regarding pet burials in family graves
- International cremation standards and certification for pet services
- Brand development and market positioning in pet cremation services
Organizers emphasize that the event is designed around sustainability principles and follows a “zero waste” approach aligned with the United Nations Global Compact Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Sustainability has become an increasingly important topic within Brazil’s funeral sector, extending beyond environmental concerns to include ethics, innovation, social responsibility, and the humanization of bereavement support.
One of the central highlights of the event will once again be the “Paths to Sustainability” Recognition Award. More than a traditional industry award, the initiative aims to showcase innovative and responsible projects developed within the deathcare sector. The program recognizes organizations implementing sustainable practices in areas such as environmental management, operational efficiency, governance, communication, engineering, and ESG strategies. The second edition of the award expands participation opportunities to companies of all sizes operating in the funeral and related sectors, including funeral homes, cemeteries, crematoria, manufacturers, and specialized service providers. Organizers believe that highlighting successful initiatives will encourage the replication of good practices across the industry and contribute to a more responsible and forward-looking funeral profession.
Alongside its educational and business agenda, Funeral Fair Brazil 2026 will also feature cultural attractions designed to create a memorable and engaging experience for participants.
By combining innovation, sustainability, professional education, and cultural dialogue, the event seeks to strengthen the role of the funeral profession in supporting bereaved families with empathy, dignity, and increasingly humanized services.
