FIAT-IFTA attends UNESCO meeting
in Paraguay

Mrs Virginia Gallardo (Mexico), FIAT-IFTA Heritage Committee Secretary is attending 19th session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, which is taking place in Asunción, Paraguay till 7 December 2024.

The Committee session aims to ​​promote the objectives of the Convention, provide guidance on best practices, and make recommendations on measures for safeguarding the intangible cultural heritage.
This session is an opportunity to strengthen our ties through renewed dialogue and collective commitment and to share our traditions and oral expressions, performing arts, social practices, rituals and festivities, knowledge, and traditional ancestral techniques, a melting pot of cultural diversity.
