Mourning Attire of Northern Shaanxi

In a world where the passage of time can blur our connection to the past, it becomes even more crucial to ask: should we all be participating in the protection of our heritage? This question resonates not just intellectually, but emotionally reminding us of the importance of respect and understanding for the high purpose behind our traditions. 

In FIAT-IFTA, as a consultative NGO to UNESCO we are proud and honored to make contributions to the protection of intangible cultural heritage! The China Funeral Association Heritage Committee as part of FIAT-IFTA Funeral Heritage Committee  has prepared a video production presenting the Chinese system of mourning attire and its principles. Through vivid pictures and infectious narration, the endangered nature of the Intangible Cultural Heritage "mourning clothes", that is, the living survival and historical evolution protection are displayed.
